EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about how one should follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It is narrated by Abu Ja'far that whenever Ibn 'Umar heard a Hadith from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ he would not do more than it said and he would not do less. This means that he was very careful to follow what was taught exactly as it was given and did not add or subtract anything from it. This teaches us to be obedient and faithful in following what has been taught by our beloved prophet without adding or subtracting anything from it.
