The Dangers of Travelling in Groups

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) warned against travelling in groups of three or more as it can lead to evil.

Malik related to me from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Harmala from Amr ibn Shuayb from his father from his father that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "One rider is a shaytan. Two riders are two shaytans, and three are a riding-party".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect Islamic teachings while travelling with multiple people .

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) warns against travelling in groups of three or more as it can lead to evil. He said that one rider is a shaytan and two riders are two shaytans and three are a riding-party. This means that when people travel together in large numbers they may be tempted to do wrong things such as gossiping about others or engaging in activities which go against Islamic teachings. It is important for Muslims to remember this warning and try their best not to travel with too many people at once so that they can avoid any potential harm or danger which may come their way.
