Caring for Orphans Rewarded in Paradise

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) promised that those who take care of orphans will be rewarded in the Garden.

Yahya related to me from Malik that Safwan ibn Sulaym heard that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I and the one who guards the orphan, whether for himself or for someone else, will be like these two in the Garden, when he has taqwa," indicating his middle and index fingers.

QUICK LESSONS:
Take care of orphans; Help those less fortunate than yourself; Do good deeds; Have compassion towards others; Be kind to all people regardless of their background or situation; Show charity towards others whenever possible .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, taught us that taking care of orphans is a noble deed. He said that those who do so will be rewarded with a place in the Garden or Paradise. He demonstrated this by holding up his middle and index fingers together to show how close they would be to each other in the afterlife. This hadith teaches us to have compassion for those less fortunate than ourselves and to help them whenever we can. It also reminds us of the rewards we can expect from Allah if we do good deeds such as caring for orphans.
