The Practice of Coitus Interruptus

SUMMARY: Coitus interruptus was practiced by Amir ibn Sad ibn Abi Waqqas.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'n-Nadr, the mawla of Umar ibn Ubaydullah from Amir ibn Sad ibn Abi Waqqas from his father that he used to practise coitus interruptus.
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَعْزِلُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the practice of coitus interruptus which was practiced by Amir ibn Sad ibn Abi Waqqas and his father. Coitus interruptus is a form of contraception where the man withdraws from the woman before ejaculation to prevent pregnancy. This hadith shows that this practice has been around for centuries and it is an acceptable form of contraception in Islam as long as it does not harm either partner physically or emotionally. It also teaches us that intimacy between married couples should be respected and protected from any harm or danger.
