The Blessing of Laylat al-Qadr

SUMMARY: Allah gave the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Laylat al-Qadr, which is better than a thousand months, as the life span of his community had become too short for them to do as many good actions as others before them had been able to do with their long lives.

Ziyad related to me from Malik that he had heard a man he trusted of the people of knowledge say, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was shown the life span of the people (who had gone) before him, or what Allah willed of that, and it was as if the lives of the people of his community had become too short for them to be able to do as many good actions as others before them had been able to do with their long lives, so Allah gave him Laylat al- Qadr, which is better than a thousand months".

EXPLANATIONS:
This Hadith speaks about the blessing of Laylat al-Qadr that was given by Allah to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It explains that due to the shorter life span of people in his community, they would not be able to do as many good deeds and actions compared to those who lived longer lives before him. Therefore, Allah gave him this special night which is better than a thousand months and it is believed that on this night all our prayers are answered and accepted by Him. This Hadith teaches us about how merciful and kind Allah is towards His beloved prophet ﷺ and how He always provides us with opportunities for spiritual growth even if we have limited time in our lives. It also encourages us to make use of these blessings from God so that we can benefit from them in both this world and hereafter.
