Searching for Laylat al-Qadr

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised to search for Laylat al-Qadr in the last seven days of Ramadan.

Ziyad related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Dinar from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said".Search for Laylat al-Qadr in the last seven days".
وَحَدَّثَنِي زِيَادٌ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith is about the importance of searching for the Night of Power or Laylat al-Qadr during the last seven days of Ramadan. This night is one of the most blessed nights in Islam and it is believed that on this night Allah's blessings are showered upon believers. It is also believed that on this night Allah's decrees are revealed and all prayers made on this night are accepted by Allah. To make sure that one can benefit from these blessings, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised to search for it in the last seven days of Ramadan through I'tikaf or seclusion in a mosque with full devotion and dedication towards prayer and supplication to Allah. This hadith teaches us about dedicating ourselves towards prayer during these blessed nights as well as being mindful about our actions throughout Ramadan so we can reap its rewards fully.
