QUICK LESSONS:
Refrain from physical contact such as embracing or kissing while fasting .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Abdullah ibn Umar, states that it is forbidden to kiss or fondle while fasting. This means that during the time of Ramadan or any other fast, Muslims should not engage in any physical contact such as embracing or kissing. Such activities are considered a distraction from the spiritual focus of fasting and can lead to further temptation. Therefore, it is important for Muslims to be mindful of their actions during this time and refrain from engaging in activities that could potentially break their fasts.

Fasting is an important part of Islamic practice as it helps Muslims develop self-discipline and strengthen their faith in Allah. By abstaining from food, drink, and other worldly pleasures for a period of time each day during Ramadan or other times throughout the year, Muslims are able to focus on prayer and reflection on Allah’s greatness. Therefore, engaging in activities such as kissing or fondling can be seen as a distraction from this spiritual focus which could lead one astray from the path of righteousness.
