Praying Against Idolatry at Graves

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prayed to Allah not to make his grave an idol that is worshipped, as the anger of Allah on those who took the graves of their Prophets as places of prostration was terrible.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam from Ata ibn Yasar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "O Allah! Do not make my grave an idol that is worshipped. The anger on those who took the graves of their Prophets as places of prostration was terrible".

Pray in designated areas such as mosques instead of gravesites or shrines; Respect the dead; Avoid worshipping idols; Avoid shirk/polytheism/grave-worshipping.
EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is warning us against taking graves as places of worship and prostration. He prayed to Allah not to make his grave an idol that is worshipped. This hadith teaches us that we should never take any grave or shrine as a place for worship or prostration because it is considered a form of idolatry and it angers Allah greatly. We should only pray in mosques and other designated places for prayer and never at any gravesite or shrine.
