Visiting the Grave of Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: Abdullah ibn Umar visited the grave of Prophet Muhammad and asked for blessings on him, Abu Bakr and Umar.

Yahya related to me from Malik that Abdullah ibn Dinar said, "I saw Abdullah ibn Umar stop by the grave of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and ask for blessings on the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and on Abu Bakr and Umar".
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقِفُ عَلَى قَبْرِ النَّبِيِّ فَيُصَلِّي عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَعَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about visiting the grave of Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. It was narrated by Yahya from Malik that Abdullah ibn Dinar said he saw Abdullah ibn Umar visit the grave of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and ask for blessings on the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, as well as on Abu Bakr and Umar. Visiting graves is a Sunnah in Islam which helps us remember death so we can live our lives better in this world. It also reminds us to be grateful for all that we have been blessed with in life. Asking for blessings upon those who have passed away is also a Sunnah which shows respect towards them even after their death.
