Praying Without a Waist-Wrapper

SUMMARY: The hadith is about Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who used to pray in a shift and head-covering without a waist-wrapper.

Yahya related to me from Malik from a reliable source from Bukayr ibn Abdullah ibn al-Ashajj from Busr ibn Said that when Ubaydullah ibn al-Aswad al-Khawlani was in the room of Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, she used to pray in a shift and head-covering, without a waist-wrapper.

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray with modesty & concentration
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of prayer and how it should be done. It tells us that Maimuna, the wife of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to pray wearing only a shift and head covering without any waist wrapper. This shows us that when we are praying we should not focus on our clothing but rather on our intention and concentration while praying. We should also make sure that whatever clothing we wear while praying is modest and does not distract us from focusing on our prayer.
