Give away your abundance in charity even if you don't know exactly how much you have .

This hadith is about a man from the Ansar who was praying in his garden during the date season. He noticed that all around him were branches weighed down with fruit and he was astonished by how much there was. He felt that this abundance of fruit presented a trial for him and so he went to Uthman ibn Affan, who at the time was Khalifa, and suggested that it be given away as charity. Uthman ibn Affan sold it for fifty thousand dirhams which is why this property became known as 'The Fifty'.
