Raising Hands in Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to raise his hands in prayer.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Sa'id from Sulayman ibn Yasar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to raise his hands in the prayer.
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الصَّلاَةِ

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was known for his exemplary character and devotion to Allah. One of the ways he showed this devotion was by raising his hands in prayer. This is a sign of humility and submission to Allah, as well as a way of asking for His mercy and blessings. It is also an expression of gratitude for all that He has given us. By following the example set by the Prophet Muhammad, we can show our own devotion to Allah and ask Him for His mercy and blessings too.
