Combining During Menstruation

SUMMARY: A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, used to comb his head while she was menstruating.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I used to comb the head of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, while I was menstruating".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect your spouse and take care of them even during times when you may feel uncomfortable or restricted due to religious obligations .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Hisham ibn Urwa from his father and it tells us about a practice of A'isha, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. She used to comb her husband's hair even when she was menstruating. This shows us that even though there are certain restrictions during this time, some activities can still be done as long as they do not involve physical contact with another person or any kind of sexual activity. It also teaches us that we should respect our spouses and take care of them even during times when we may feel uncomfortable or restricted due to religious obligations.
