QUICK LESSONS:
Perform ritual ablutions before prayer according to Islamic teachings .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains how the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to perform wudu or ritual ablution before prayer. It is narrated by Abu Hayyah that Ali said that he will show them how the Prophet of Allah used to do wudoo'. He then asked for a large and small vessel of water and proceeded with washing his hands three times, taking water into his nose three times and blowing it out three times; washing his face three times; washing his arms up to the elbows three times; wiping his head three times; and washing his feet three times. This shows us that cleanliness is important in Islam as it is a part of our faith. We must ensure we are clean before we pray so that our prayers are accepted by Allah Almighty.
