The Prophet's Displeasure at Prayer Interruption

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) expressed his anger and displeasure at those who prevented the Muslims from performing their mid-day prayer until sunset.

It was narrated from 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah said on the day of al-Ahzab'.May Allah fill their houses and graves with fire, as they kept us from the middle prayer until the sunset".
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، أَنْبَأَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَسَّانَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ مَلَأَ اللَّهُ بُيُوتَهُمْ وَقُبُورَهُمْ نَارًا كَمَا حَبَسُونَا عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى حَتَّى غَابَتْ الشَّمْسُ أَوْ قَالَ حَتَّى آبَتْ الشَّمْسُ إِحْدَى الْكَلِمَتَيْنِ‏.‏
