Paying Cupper's Fee

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed 'Ali to pay the fee of the person who performed cupping on him.

It was narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah was treated with cupping and he instructed me to give the Cupper his fee.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ و حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَأَمَرَنِي فَأَعْطَيْتُ الْحَجَّامَ أَجْرَهُ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of paying for services rendered. It was narrated that 'Ali ibn Abi Talib said that when the Prophet Muhammad was treated with cupping, he instructed Ali to give the cupper his fee. This shows us that it is important to pay for services rendered and not take advantage of people who are providing us with a service. It also teaches us to be generous and kind towards those who provide us with a service as we should reward them for their hard work and effort. Furthermore, it teaches us about responsibility and accountability as we should always make sure that we fulfill our obligations in life.
