This hadith is about the importance of guidance and how it should be sought out. It was narrated by Ali ibn Abi Talib, who was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In this hadith, he explains that according to the verse in Ar-Ra'd 13.7, "You are only a warner, and to every people there is a guide," the Messenger of Allah said that the warner and guide for every people is a man from Banu Hashim. This means that guidance should be sought out from those who are knowledgeable in Islamic teachings and have good character traits. It also shows us how important it is to seek out knowledge from reliable sources so we can make sure we are following what Allah has commanded us to do.
