EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the exemptions of zakah according to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Zakah is a form of charity in Islam which is obligatory for all Muslims who have wealth above a certain threshold. It is an act of worship and purification for one's wealth. In this hadith, it was narrated by 'Ali ibn Abi Talib that the Messenger of Allah said that he has relieved Muslims from paying zakah on horses and slaves, but they must pay zakah on anything that is worth more than two hundred dirhams. This teaches us about the importance of giving charity as well as being mindful about our financial obligations towards others in society.
