Musnad Ahmad 858 (Book 5, Hadith 287) #34513
Cursing Those Who Revile Parents and Change Boundary Markers

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) cursed those who revile their parents, change boundary markers, and give refuge to an offender.

It was narrated that Mansoor bin Hayyan said: I heard 'Amir bin Wathilah say: it was said to 'Ali bin Abi Talib Tell Us of something that the Messenger of Allah told you in secret. He said: The Messenger of Allah did not say anything to me in secret and conceal it from the people, but I heard him say: 'May Allah curse the one who reviles his parents, may Allah curse the one who changes the boundary markers, and may Allah curse the one who gives refuge to an offender".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect your elders ,respect boundaries set by others ,do not condone criminal behaviour .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's teachings on how to treat one's parents and respect boundaries. He cursed those who reviled their parents, changed boundary markers, or gave refuge to an offender. Respect for one's elders is a cornerstone of Islamic teaching; it is important that children learn from a young age that they should never speak ill of their parents or do anything that would disrespect them in any way. Similarly, it is important to respect the boundaries set by others; changing boundary markers without permission can lead to disputes between neighbors or even countries. Finally, giving refuge to an offender can be seen as condoning criminal behavior which goes against Islamic teachings of justice and fairness for all people regardless of social status or wealth.
