QUICK LESSONS:
Respond with respect and politeness even in small matters like asking for permission
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith highlights the importance of responding with respect and politeness, even in small matters. It was narrated that 'Ali ibn Abi Talib said that when he asked permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah, if he was praying he would say Subhan Allah, which translates to "Glory be to God". If not, then he would give permission. This shows us that even in small matters such as asking for permission, we should always respond with respect and politeness. We should also remember that prayer is an important part of our faith and should be given priority over other activities.
