Reciting the Quran with Respect

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade people from raising their voices when reciting the Quran between Maghrib and 'Isha prayers.

It was narrated from 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) that The Messenger of Allah forbade the people to raise their voices over one another when reciting Qur'an between Maghrib and 'Isha'.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَهَى أَنْ يَجْهَرَ الْقَوْمُ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ بِالْقُرْآنِ‏.‏
