This hadith discusses the permissibility of applying aloe to one's eyes while they are in a state of ihram. The hadith was narrated by Nubaih bin Wahb who said that Umar bin Ubaidullah sent word to Aban bin Uthman asking whether he could apply something to his eyes when he was in ihram or what he could apply when he was in ihram. Aban sent word back telling him that it is permissible for him to apply aloe to his eyes and this ruling was also narrated by Uthman bin Affan from the Messenger of Allah . Thus, it is permissible for someone who is performing Hajj or Umrah rituals while being in a state of ihram can use aloe on their eyes if needed.
