Performing Tayammum - A Ritual of Purification

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) demonstrated how to perform Tayammum, a ritual of purification using the earth.

Narrated 'Ammar: The Prophet stroked the earth with his hands and then passed them over his face and the backs of his hands (while demonstrating Tayammum).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ ذَرٍّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَ عَمَّارٌ فَضَرَبَ النَّبِيُّ بِيَدِهِ الأَرْضَ، فَمَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ وَكَفَّيْهِ‏.‏
