QUICK LESSONS:
Name yourself after the prophet Muhammad ﷺ , take on names inspired by him and show respect for those who have come before us .

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, narrated by Anas ibn Malik, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was in the market when a man called someone else “O Abu-l-Qasim!”. The Prophet ﷺ then turned to him and said that people should name themselves after him but not call themselves by his Kuniya. This hadith teaches us that we should take on names that are inspired by the Prophet ﷺ and his teachings, as a way of honoring him and showing our respect for him. However, it is important to note that we should not use any of his titles or nicknames as our own names; these are reserved only for the Prophet himself.
