Respect your beloved ones even after they have gone away; Be mindful and aware in times of distress; Carry out your duties properly; Show love and respect towards Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) .

When the Messenger of Allah passed away, some of his companions were so grief stricken that they were unaware of what was going on around them. Uthman bin 'Affan was one such companion who narrated a similar hadith from Shu'aib from Abul Yaman. This hadith shows us how much love and respect the companions had for their beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. They grieved deeply upon his passing, showing us how important it is to remember our beloved ones even after they have gone away. It also teaches us to be mindful of our actions in times of distress and not let our emotions take over completely as we must still remain aware and conscious in order to carry out our duties properly.
