Sunan Ibn Majah 4333 (Book 37, Hadith 234) #33689
Rewards for Entering Paradise

SUMMARY: The hadith speaks of the rewards that will be given to the first group of people who enter Paradise, and how they will be blessed with physical features and luxuries.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "The first group to enter Paradise will enter with (faces) like the moon in the night when it is full. Then those who follow them will be shining with a light brighter than the brightest star in the sky. They will not urinate or defecate, or blow their noses or spit. Their combs will be of gold, their sweat will be musk, their braziers (receptacle for holding live coals for burning incense) will be pearls and their wives will be houris. Their form will be that of a single man, the form of their father Adam, sixty forearm’s length tall.’" Another chain reports the same.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the rewards that await those who enter paradise. It is narrated by Abu Hurairah, a companion of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. According to this hadith, those who are fortunate enough to enter paradise will have faces like a full moon in the night sky. They will also have a light brighter than any star in the sky and their sweat will smell like musk. Furthermore, they won't need to urinate or defecate or blow their noses or spit as these bodily functions are not necessary in paradise. Additionally, their combs and braziers would be made out of gold and pearls respectively while their wives would be houris - beautiful women created by Allah for them alone. Finally, it is said that all these people would look like one man - Adam - sixty forearms length tall! This hadith teaches us about how great Allah's blessings can be if we strive hard enough to please Him through our actions on earth so that we may receive His mercy in paradise after death.
