Weeping and Laughing in Moderation

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is advising us to be mindful of the things we do not know and to be aware of our actions.

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah said: "If you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلاً وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا
