SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) foretold of a treaty between Muslims and the Romans, which would eventually be broken by the Romans who would march against Muslims with eighty banners and twelve thousand troops under each banner.

It was narrated from 'Awf bin Malik Al-Ashja’i that the Messenger of Allah said: "There will be a treaty between you and Banu Asfar (The Romans), but they will betray you and will march against you with eighty banners, under each of which there will be twelve thousand troops".
