Signs of the Day of Judgment

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) predicted that lesser signs of the Day of Judgment will come after two hundred years.

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that Abu Qatadah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: "The (lesser) signs (will come) after two hundred (years).’"
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْنُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى بْنِ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ الآيَاتُ بَعْدَ الْمِائَتَيْنِ

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Anas bin Malik and Abu Qatadah states that the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him predicted that lesser signs of the Day of Judgment will come after two hundred years. This hadith is a reminder to us all to stay mindful and prepare for the day when we will all be judged for our deeds in this life. We should strive to do good deeds in order to receive Allah's mercy on that day. It is also important to remember that no one knows when exactly this day will come so we must always remain vigilant and prepared for it at all times.
