The Wrong of Verbal Abuse and Fighting Muslims

SUMMARY: It is wrong to verbally abuse or fight a Muslim as it is disobedience and ungratefulness to Allah.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet said: "Verbally abusing a Muslim is Fusuq (disobedience) and fighting him is Kufr (ungratefulness to Allah)".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الأَسَدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلاَلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ فُسُوقٌ وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that it is wrong for us to verbally abuse or fight another Muslim. Verbally abusing someone means saying hurtful words, while fighting someone means physically attacking them. Both of these actions are considered disobedience and ungratefulness towards Allah, which are both bad things that we should avoid doing. We should always be kind and respectful towards our fellow Muslims, no matter what disagreements we may have with them.
