Seeking Refuge From Bad Dreams

SUMMARY: Dreams can be from Allah or Satan, and if one has a bad dream they should seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.

It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Messenger of Allah said: "(Good) dreams come from Allah and (bad) dreams come from Satan, so if anyone of you sees something that he dislikes, let him spit dryly to his left three times, and seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan three times, and turn over onto his other side".

QUICK LESSONS:
Seek refuge with Allah when having a bad dream by spitting dryly to your left three times and seeking refuge with Him three times then turning over onto your other side .

EXPLANATIONS:
Dreams are an important part of our lives, as they can give us insight into our inner thoughts and feelings. In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ teaches us that dreams can come from either Allah or Satan. If we have a bad dream, we should seek refuge with Allah by spitting dryly to our left three times and seeking refuge with Him three times. We should also turn over onto our other side in order to ward off any negative effects of the dream. This hadith teaches us that we must always remember to turn to Allah for protection against anything that may harm us spiritually or physically. It also reminds us that even though some dreams may seem scary at first, we must remember that ultimately it is up to Allah whether something will happen or not; He is always in control and will protect those who put their trust in Him.
