Follow Islamic teachings instead following those practiced by non-Muslims ; Direct our worship towards Allah alone ; Not associate any partners with Him ; Not make idols out anything else ; Not seek blessings from anyone other than God alone .

On his deathbed, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ put a sheet over his face to cool himself down. During this time he said “May Allah’s Curse be on the Jews and the Christians for they build places of worship at the graves of their prophets”. This hadith is a warning from Allah's Messenger ﷺ to Muslims not to follow in the footsteps of Jews and Christians by building places of worship at graves. It is important for us as Muslims to remember that we should only direct our worship towards Allah alone and not associate any partners with Him or make idols out of anything else. We should also remember that we are not allowed to pray or seek blessings from anyone other than Allah alone as this would be considered shirk or associating partners with Him which is one major sin in Islam.
