This hadith is about the importance of giving gifts and being generous. It was narrated from Ali that a two-piece suit hemmed with silk was given to the Messenger of Allah, and he sent it to Ali. When Ali asked what he should do with it, the Messenger of Allah instructed him to make it into head-cloths and give them as gifts to his daughters, Fatimah and her sisters. This hadith teaches us that we should be generous in our giving, even if we don't have much ourselves.
