Sunan Ibn Majah 3425 (Book 30, Hadith 55) #32779
Generosity and Sharing

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us to be generous and share with others, even if it is something small.

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah was brought some milk mixed with water. On his right there was a Bedouin and on his left was Abu Bakr. He drank some, then he gave it to the Bedouin and said: "Pass it around to the right".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be generous in your actions; Share what you have; Practice hospitality towards guests; Be kind and generous towards those who are less fortunate than yourself; Even if you have something small or insignificant - share out of kindness & generosity .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith of Anas bin Malik teaches us the importance of generosity and sharing. It is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was given some milk mixed with water, which he drank from before giving it to a Bedouin on his right side. He then instructed the Bedouin to pass it around to those on his right side, showing us that we should always be generous in our actions and share what we have with others. This hadith also shows us how important it is for Muslims to practice hospitality towards guests, as well as being kind and generous towards those who are less fortunate than ourselves. We can learn from this hadith that even if we have something small or insignificant, such as a glass of milk mixed with water, we should still share it with others out of kindness and generosity.
