Cover vessels; tie water skins; extinguish lamps ; lock doors ; mention name of Allah .

This hadith highlights the importance of taking precautionary measures to protect oneself from Satan and his mischief. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ advised us to cover our vessels with something like a lid or cloth so that no one can tamper with it; tie our water skins so that they don’t spill; extinguish our lamps when we are done using them; and lock our doors when we leave the house or go to sleep. He also said that if someone cannot find anything but a stick with which to cover their vessel then they should mention the name of Allah while doing so as this will be enough protection against any evil forces. Furthermore, he warned us about how even small creatures such as mice can cause great destruction if left unchecked by setting fire to houses with people inside them. Therefore it is important for us all to take these precautions in order to stay safe from any harm caused by Satan or other creatures.
