QUICK LESSONS:
Show mercy and compassion towards all creatures when killing them for our own benefit or safety.
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's opinion on killing small lizards. He said that it was permitted and he did not forbid it. This means that Muslims are allowed to kill small lizards if they wish to do so. However, this does not mean that all animals should be killed indiscriminately; rather, only those animals which are considered pests or dangerous should be killed in order to protect people and their property from harm. The hadith also teaches us about mercy and compassion towards all creatures; even though we may have the right to kill certain animals for our own benefit or safety, we should still show mercy towards them by avoiding unnecessary cruelty or suffering when doing so.
