Sunan Ibn Majah 2765 (Book 24, Hadith 13) #32119
Rewarded Without Traveling

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is informing us that there are people in Madinah who, even though they cannot accompany you on your journey, will still be rewarded for it.

It was narrated from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah said: "in Al-Madinah there are men who, every time you crossed a valley or travelled a road, they shared with you in the reward. They were kept behind by (legitimate) excuses".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us that even if we are unable to physically accompany someone on their journey, we can still be rewarded for it. The Prophet Muhammad was informing his followers of the people in Madinah who were not able to travel with them but would still receive a reward for it due to their legitimate excuses. This hadith teaches us the importance of helping others and being generous with our rewards and blessings. It also encourages us to think of those who may not have the same opportunities as us and how we can help them out in any way possible. We should always remember that Allah rewards those who do good deeds regardless of whether or not they are able to physically do them themselves.
