Pawning of the Prophet's Armor

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ died while his armor was pawned to a Jew in exchange for food.

It was narrated from Asma' bin Yazid that: the Prophet died while his armor was pawned to a Jew for food.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ بَهْرَامَ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ تُوُفِّيَ وَدِرْعُهُ مَرْهُونَةٌ عِنْدَ يَهُودِيٍّ بِطَعَامٍ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates an incident from the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, where he pawned his armour to a Jew in exchange for food. This hadith teaches us that even though the Prophet ﷺ was a leader and role model, he still faced financial difficulties and needed to make difficult decisions in order to provide for himself and his family. It also teaches us that despite our financial status, we should always be humble and not be ashamed of our circumstances. We should also strive to help those who are less fortunate than us by providing them with whatever assistance we can offer. Furthermore, this hadith serves as an example of how Muslims should treat each other with kindness and compassion regardless of their social or economic standing.
