The Pride of Camels, Blessing of Sheep and Goodness of Horses

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of camels, sheep and horses in the life of people.

It was narrated that 'Urwah Al-Bariqi said in a Marfu’ report: "Camels are the pride of their owners, and sheep are a blessing, and goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ، يَرْفَعُهُ قَالَ ‏ "‏ الإِبِلُ عِزٌّ لأَهْلِهَا وَالْغَنَمُ بَرَكَةٌ وَالْخَيْرُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِي الْخَيْلِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith talks about the importance of camels, sheep and horses in our lives. It was narrated by 'Urwah Al Bariqi that these animals are a source of pride for their owners. Camels are considered to be a symbol of wealth and power while sheep provide us with wool which is used to make clothes. Horses are also important as they can be used for transportation or even racing. Furthermore, this hadith states that goodness will remain tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day Of Resurrection which means that these animals will always bring good fortune to their owners no matter what happens in this world. This hadith teaches us that we should take care and appreciate all creatures around us as they can bring great blessings into our lives if we treat them with kindness and respect.
