The Importance of Fasting on Fridays

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad rarely missed fasting on Fridays.

It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Mas’ud said: "I rarely saw the Messenger of Allah not fasting on a Friday".
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: قَلَّمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ يُفْطِرُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ
