The Reward of Fasting for Allah

SUMMARY: Fasting one day in the cause of Allah will be rewarded with protection from the Fire for seventy years.

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever fasts one day in the cause of Allah, Allah will keep the Fire away from his face the distance of seventy autumns (years) for that day".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحِ بْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، بَاعَدَ اللَّهُ، بِذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ، النَّارَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the reward that comes from fasting one day in the cause of Allah. It was narrated by Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, who said that Prophet Muhammad said that whoever fasts one day in the cause of Allah, Allah will keep them safe from the Fire for seventy years. This means that if someone fasts to please and obey God, they will be rewarded with protection from punishment in Hellfire. This hadith teaches us to always strive to do good deeds and worship God so we can receive His blessings and rewards. It also encourages us to have faith and trust in God's mercy and justice, as He promises great rewards for those who obey Him.
