The Significance of Saying the Takbir Five Times

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said the Takbir five times.

It was narrated from Kathir bin 'Abdullah, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah said the Takbir five times.
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الرَّافِعِيُّ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ كَبَّرَ خَمْسًا
