Sunan Ibn Majah 1465 (Book 6, Hadith 33) #30817
The Prophet's Love and Care for Aisha

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) showed his love and care for Aisha by reassuring her that he would take care of her even if she passed away before him.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The Messenger of Allah came back from Al-Baqi’ and I had a headache and was saying: 'O my head!’ He said: 'Rather, I should say, O my head, O 'Aishah!’ Then he said: 'It will not matter if you were to die before me, for I will take care of you, wash you, shroud you, offer the funeral prayer for you and bury you.’"

QUICK LESSONS:
Show compassion towards others .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the love and care that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had for his wife, Aisha. It was narrated by Aishah herself who said that when the Messenger of Allah came back from Al-Baqi, she had a headache. He responded to her in a loving way saying “O my head!” instead of “O my head O ‘Aishah!” He then reassured her saying that it would not matter if she were to die before him as he would take care of all the necessary arrangements such as washing her body, shrouding it in cloths and offering funeral prayer for her before burying her. This shows us how much love and compassion the Prophet had for his beloved wife even after death.
