Conveying Salam at the Time of Death

SUMMARY: Jabir bin 'Abdullah was dying and Muhammad bin Munkadir asked him to convey his salam to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Muhammad bin Munkadir said: "I entered upon Jabir bin 'Abdullah when he was dying, and I said: 'Convey my Salam to the Messenger of Allah .’"
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الأَزْهَرِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ الْمَاجِشُونِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ يَمُوتُ فَقُلْتُ اقْرَأْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ ـ السَّلاَمَ

This hadith is about conveying salutations to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ even when one is on their deathbed. It teaches us that we should always show respect and reverence for our beloved Prophet ﷺ no matter what situation we are in. Even when one is dying, they should remember to send their salutations upon him. This hadith also teaches us that it is important to remember Allah and His Messenger ﷺ in all situations of life. We should never forget Him even in times of difficulty or distress.

This hadith also reminds us that we must always be mindful of our words and actions as they will be remembered by others even after our death. We must strive to live a life full of good deeds so that people will remember us with love and respect after we have passed away from this world.
