EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of being thankful to Allah for His blessings and forgiveness. It was narrated from Ziyad bin 'Ilaqah that he heard Mughirah say that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stood in prayer until his feet became swollen. When it was said to him that Allah has forgiven his past and future sins, he replied by saying "Should I not be a thankful slave?" This shows us how grateful the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was towards Allah for His mercy and kindness. He showed us how important it is to be thankful even when we are already blessed with so much. We should always remember that everything we have comes from Allah's grace and mercy, so we must show our gratitude through our words and actions. We should also strive to forgive others as much as possible since this is what will bring us closer to God's mercy too.
