The Prophet's Bath on Eid

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to take a bath on the day of Fitr and Adha.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah used to have a bath on the day of Fitr and the day of Adha".
حَدَّثَنَا جُبَارَةُ بْنُ الْمُغَلِّسِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ يَغْتَسِلُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمَ الأَضْحَى

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to take a ritual bath or ghusl on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. These two Eids are celebrated by Muslims all over the world as they mark important events in Islamic history. On these days, it is recommended for Muslims to perform ghusl as part of their celebration. This hadith serves as an example for us to follow in our own lives, reminding us that we should always strive to emulate the Sunnah of our beloved prophet.
