Women's Participation in Eid Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) instructed women who had reached puberty and those in seclusion to attend the Eid prayer, while those who were menstruating should avoid the prayer place.

It was narrated that Umm 'Atiyyah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Bring out the women who have attained puberty and those who are in seclusion so that they may attend the 'Eid prayer and (join in) the supplication of the Muslims. But let the women who are menstruating avoid the prayer place".

QUICK LESSONS:
Attend religious activities such as prayers on special occasions like Eid if you are able to do so .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us that women who have reached puberty and those in seclusion should attend the Eid prayer, which is a special occasion for Muslims to celebrate and give thanks to Allah. However, he also instructed that women who are menstruating should avoid the prayer place as they are considered impure during this time. This hadith teaches us that it is important for all Muslims to take part in religious activities such as attending prayers on special occasions like Eid, but it also reminds us of our responsibility towards our health and wellbeing by avoiding certain activities when we are not feeling well or going through certain physical changes.
