QUICK LESSONS:
Take time out for joyous occasions with loved ones; Be mindful of religious obligations; Celebrate special occasions.

EXPLANATIONS:
According to the hadith narrated by 'Amr bin Shuaib from his father and grandfather, it is clear that the Prophet Muhammad did not pray before or after the `Eid prayer. This indicates that although prayer is an important part of Islam and Muslims should strive to perform it regularly, there are certain occasions where it is not necessary. On `Eid days in particular, Muslims are encouraged to celebrate with their families and friends instead of praying. This teaches us that we should be mindful of our religious obligations but also take time out for joyous occasions with our loved ones.
