QUICK LESSONS:
Praise Allah by saying "Allahu Akbar"; Follow teachings of Prophet Muhammad PBUH ; Gather together with fellow Muslims for Salatul-Eid ; Recite takbeer seven times before reciting from Quran .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith is about how Prophet Muhammad PBUH used to recite the Takbir during his prayers on Eid. The word ‘Takbir’ means ‘to say Allahu Akbar’ which translates to ‘God is great’. It is a way of praising God and expressing gratitude for His blessings. On this special day of celebration called ‘Eid’, Muslims gather together in mosques or open spaces and perform a special prayer known as Salatul-Eid or simply ‘Eid prayer’. Before beginning this prayer, it is customary for Muslims to recite the Takbir seven times in the first Rakah and five times in the second Rakah before reciting from Quran. This practice was taught by Prophet Muhammad PBUH himself as mentioned in this hadith which serves as an example for us today on how we should conduct ourselves during our prayers on this joyous occasion of Eid.
