Prayer During an Eclipse

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) led a prayer during an eclipse and his followers did not hear his voice.

It was narrated that Samurah bin Jundab said: "The Messenger of Allah led us in the eclipse prayer, and we did not hear his voice".
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ عِبَادٍ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ فِي الْكُسُوفِ فَلاَ نَسْمَعُ لَهُ صَوْتًا

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) leading of a prayer during an eclipse. It was narrated by Samurah bin Jundab that the Messenger of Allah led them in the eclipse prayer, but they could not hear his voice. This shows us how important it is to pay attention and focus on our prayers, even if we cannot hear what is being said. It also teaches us that we should follow the example of our beloved Prophet in all aspects of life, including when praying.
